Growing Up

This lovely lady has a special gift. She can help things grow. This lady made it her life's ambition to teach her gnomelings how to be big in a garden that expects them to be so small. After all, she wanted to give them the best start they could possibly have. She has the best sense of humor and and taught her gnomelings how to laugh and keep smiling all through life. She also made sure her gnomelings ate the most healthy things so they could grow into strong gnomes in body as well as spirit. Her love and talent doesn't stop with her own family, though. No way! When she wasn't busy helping her her own family grow, she was involved in many events and groups from schools to gnursing to help other gnomes and their gnomelings grow strong in their own ways. Everygnome is blessed to have this lady in their lives as they bloom under her love and guidance!

Sugar and Spice

There are many stories in Gnomish history, but it's the shared ones that hold the most meaning.  If one story can encompass two beautiful souls, then that would be... well... super.  The two would be so happy!  And so it should be - a gnice little story for two little gnomettes who like pretty things, whether that be a little rainbow, swirl, flower or bow.  Try as I may, though, even my wonderful imagination cannot think of the words to describe how beautiful these two really are, both inside and out.  They seem happy all the time!  They may argue like mad, but love each other loads.  Though in many ways they're both so different, they still have so much in common.  They both love tennis and the thought of them bouncing around to hit the ball always puts a smile to my face.  They both adore their pets, Billy the King Charles snail and Pouik the stripey caterpillar.  And together they are both a bit gnervous about moving to a gnew gnest again.  In the end, as long as they stay together, these two will continue to be filled with sugar and spice and everything gnice.

Rainbow of Spots

Everygnome is wrapped differently but some gnomes are wrapped especially unique, covered in fancy spots that most gnomes may gnot have. They are amazingly strong and beautiful, determined to live life to its fullest. They're an inspiration to those around them, though they may gnot realize it. These gnomes are gnever alone. They are always surrounded by lots of other gnomes that will always love and support them. I don't know about you, but I happen to think that without these colorful souls, the garden would be a bland place, don't you think? With them around, the garden is a much colorful and joyful place indeed.

Tiny Tutu

Ever since this Pure soul was a young gnomeling, she has been dancing. It seems that she is always dancing around the garden and is gnever simply walking from here to there. If she's gnot dancing, she has a certain skip or energy that fools the eye into thinking she's gliding gracefully as she moves. Throughout the seasons she ahs been involved in all types of dancing, including Jazz, Gnomish Step & even Ballet. For one reason or another, she has stuck with ballet, and Oh My Gnomes does it show! She is a very graceful young lady in more ways than one. She takes her role as big sister very seriously, watching out for her younger siblings in a way that would bring a smile to your face. Indeed she is made of Pure grace - body, mind and soul.

Splish Splash

This tiny Angel of souls loves the water. She spends her summers on the shores of Misquamicut Beach, a very special place indeed. Ever since she was a young gnomeling she knew that she was Daddy's little merbaby, so it comes as gno surprise that she loves to swim with anygnome and anywhere. Most of all, though, she loves the ocean because she loves riding the waves. What a thrill it is for somegnome so tiny to be part of something so big! Gno doubt she will continue down this same path and continue to be a part of bigger things than this garden has ever seen!

Miss Gnomer

The gnomes have always been able to celebrate the simple things, and there is gno better example than their big annual carnival celebration to honor the deepest of Gnomish traditions - laughing at the simple things in life, like how silly even our words can be sometimes.  Surely you can think of a word or two that would make you giggle if you just took a moment to consider it.  "Fireflies" aren't actually made out of fire.  "Shooting stars" aren't actually stars at all, though the word "meteor" simply doesn't sound nearly as magical.  Regardless, it should come as gno surprise that the gnomes are able to celebrate such gnonsense every season with a great big, highly popular carnival.  Eek!  This gnomette is so excited!  The carnival includes a seasonal competition to find a queen who will represent the community and all the qualities they stand for.  Crowning a queen is quite the process.  Competitors are interviewed by judges until a perfectly beautiful soul is found.  This year, they couldn't have picked a more deserving gnomette to wear the crown.  Isn't she beautiful, inside and out?  Being Miss Gnomer is one of the most exciting, wonderful times of her life, being pampered and chauffeured around, and of course being adored.  However, it's hard work too.  She has an important job of representing her home garden and its traditions and being so deeply involved, particularly in the happy events.  The best part is meeting all the gnomes around the garden that she gnormally would gnot have ever had the chance to meet.  Bringing the spirit of carnival to those who couldn't make it to the celebration?  To say she's honored just doesn't do her blushing cheeks justice.

Tiny Expert

Look up the word "dinosaur" in any good Gnomish thesaurus and you'll see that the gnomes refer to them as "dragons" more often than gnot. Gno matter what you call them, there is gno doubt that there are so many types of dragons... I mean dinosaurs... out there that it's hard to keep them all straight. You'd think it would be even more so for a small gnomeling such as this tiny soul, but spend only a moment with my tiny Finn and you'll quickly learn that he is a tiny expert of sorts. He loves dinosaurs and can gname a lot of them! Just the thought of a dinosaur brings a smile to his face. He's always running everywhere and to everything, so filled with excitement. In fact, it seems that he smiles constantly. What a warm soul he is. He's quite the lover. He's so very affectionate and sensitive! In fact, HE is the one who sings "You are my Sunshine" to his mommy! Only a kind soul such as he can win the heart of a tiny dragon friend like the one who won't seem to leave his side. My guess is the baby dragon... uh, dinosaur... gnever leaves a warm soul once he meets one.

Warm Winter Wishes

Ask anygnome in the garden why they love the winter season so much and gno doubt they'll jump at the opportunity to tell you a reason or two or three or four. It's the cool crisp morning air. It's the roasted chestnuts. It's the diamonds sparkling in the freshly fallen snow. It's little footprints in the snow leading you to warm and cozy gnests. It's building a snowgnome! Gno, wait, snow angels! It's hot cocoa melting away a frozen gnose. It's being able to see my breath in the cool winter air. It's the smile on a gnomeling's face when a snowflake lands on their gnose. It's the sparkle in their eyes when they take in the all the magic the season has to offer. It's warm fuzzy thoughts and cool crisp mornings. Yes, all the above are great reasons to love the winter season, but if you ask me, I think the REAL magic that makes all the other things possible is the love from family and friends. There is gnothing better than warm winter gnuzzles with a loved one. Snuggle up to somegnome you love, and the rest? Well they're just the warm winter wishes I have for you.

PERSONAL GNOTE:
These two have magnets inside their noses! How fun is that? If they get close to each other, they can't help but gnuzzle! They have THAT much love to share!

Centaurgnome

Gnever before has the garden known a gnome who is quite as unique as this tiny fella. One look at him and it's apparent that he beats to his own drum. Spend even a few moments with him and you'll see that he embraces this with a smile. He is loved for so many reasons it's hard to find the time to write them all down. Being an inquisitive gnome, of course he believes in magic, but he also loves science. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be. That's the beauty of a true Gnomish soul. He understands that magic and science go hand in hand. If his funny gnature doesn't put a smile on your face, then surely his love for learning will. He loves math. He loves to read. He loves anything having to do with the magical garden around him, and he loves to share his opinions on all the knowledge that he has filled his tiny body with. Gno doubt that this garden is so blessed to have such a gneat gnomeling in it. He is so much a part of his family that it's hard to imagine how dull the garden would be without him.

Rainbow Roses

My sweet Ava Rose? Let's just say she loves rainbows. In fact, rainbows are almost, but not quite, as colorful as her artwork. Yes, she's very creative like that. And rainbows come closer than anything else to matching the brightness of her smile. It seems she smiles constantly. She has good reason to smile, as do all the gnomes who know her. She's filled with warm fuzzy thoughts and she has more loved to share than you would think for such a tiny soul. Her loved ones are loved with all the rainbows in the sky, around the world and to the moon and back! Wow. I'm not sure it's possible to top that kind of love. Indeed the garden is far more colorful because this creative soul is in it.

Wee Wild

In a particularly wee wild part of the garden, there lived a Giggle of gnomes who considered themselves to be more wild than anygnome else. They even tried to be as terrible as possible by practicing roaring their terrible roars, gnashing their terrible teeth and rolling their terrible eyes and showing their terrible claws. They practiced long into the gnight, through a day, in and out of weeks and over a year, for they knew that someday their terribly wild ways would be able to scare away anygnome who was brave enough to visit their garden. One day such a brave soul did indeed visit, but did all their practicing do the trick? Oh gno! Instead of scaring little Max away, he scared them by staring into their yellow eyes without blinking even once! Oh wow! Gnow HERE was somegnome who could teach them a thing or two about being terrible. They crowned him King of all the Wee Wilds and the wild rumpus began. Their adventures together went down in Gnomish History and those of all ages held the Wee Wild Things dearly in their hearts for generations to come.

PERSONAL GNOTE:
These terrible souls and their story were inspired by "Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak.

The Pegasus

You may not believe in the magic of Pegasuses (or is it pegasi?), but those in the gnome community have no doubts that magical creatures exist. Afterall, if the Pegasus doesn't exist, then doesn't that mean gnomes don't exist either? What gnonsense. Look at this little gnome. You can see her with your very own eyes and touch her with your very own fingers. Of course she exists! Just don't blink your eyes because she just loves to zip around as fast as her wings can carry her. She likes to make you wonder if your eyes are deceiving you. Did you just see a Pegasus? Or was it a gnome? Oh I sure hope you're right on both accounts because only the luckiest of souls gets even the slightest glimpse of a Pegasus. With her in your garden, surely you will start to gnotice the skies looking bluer and the rainbows shining brighter. You're a lucky soul but gno doubt you deserve the magic.

Unexpected Trio

Once upon a garden there lived a wee witch with a pet spider. Her spider was a friendly little soul who was always so happy to crawl all over the wee witch's hat. And whenever the spider crawled around, the wee witch couldn't help but giggle and giggle because it would tickle her so much. As you can imagine, the little pet spider brought the wee witch lots of smiles. As such, one day she decided that she wanted to do something special in return, and she knew exactly what to do. She hopped excitedly over to the pumpkin patch to pick a perfect pumpkin to carve out for her tiny eight legged friend. Wouldn't a jack-o-lantern be the perfect home for her spider? After much searching she found the perfect pumpkin but when she went to pick it up, it wiggled and giggled to get out of her hands. What the heck? That's not a pumpkin at all! Silly gnome.  Was the pumpkin mad?  Heck no!  Instead the pumpkin was an instant completion to the trio that the witch & spider didn't know they were searching for.  Magic has a way of working like that.

Batter Up

The bases are loaded, the crowd is cheering. It's down to the last inning. The gnome glances up at the sun peaking through the garden flowers. Ah, today is a good day for baseball. Actually for this gnome, EVERYDAY is a good day for baseball. He chews his wad of bubblegum and holds the bat at a perfect angle. The pitcher stares him down and he stares right back. Today, he will hit that ball and bring his whole team home. Today they will score the winning point. With a gnod, the pitcher throws the ball. This gnome swings with all his might and there is a sharp crack as the bat meets the ball. The ball soars high over the garden fence. The crowd cheers! He did it!

Policegnome

What is a hero? Those in the gnome community know exactly what a hero is. A hero is the bravest of the brave. He’s a soul, big or small, who is there when you really gneed them. Despite all the odds, they always have a helping hand, kind word or even a good snuggle for you. Heroes can be anygnome who picks you up when you are down, somegnome who gives you strength and courage when you are weak or scared. They spread hope. A hero is gnot made with money, power, athletic ability or physical appearance. A hero is made just by being bigger than their little bodies may seem, somegnome who cares more about others than themselves. They strive to gnot only keep their loved ones safe, but keep strangers safe as well. Sometimes they risk their lives to save others, but sometimes they’re just a humble caring hand. A hero is sure to have one thing – a warm and loving heart. Their positivity, generosity and kindness is so inspirational. Heroes are unique souls indeed. This policegnome is no exception!

Firegnome

What better calling for a gnome than to be a firegnome? In the hot summer, the garden gets dry and fires are such a risk to the entire gnome community! Luckily this little soul is there to save the day! He puts on his gnatural-wool fire retardant gear on and rushes toward the flames! Gnow his secret? He soaks up all the water in the garden hose and then rolls on the dry plants to get them wet. If there is a real fire, though, they have to call in the fire truck! It takes lots of courage to fight those flames! Covered tip to toe in soot, that is one thing this gnome has - courage. Courage to make sure others are safe without thinking about his own safety.

Gnome in the Yellow Hat

One day the Gnome in the Yellow Hat went on a long far-away trip through the garden. He ventured so far, not many gnomes went that far - indeed only the bravest even dreamed to venture that far. As he got farther from home, he gnoticed that the garden snails were different colors. How fascinating! He was interested in different garden snails. He saw pinks, blues, browns, yellows, oranges... so many new ones! Suddenly the bushes stirred up ahead. What color of snail would it be? He got his sketchbook out to start taking gnotes. Suddenly a little monkey popped out of the plants! What a surprise! The Gnome in the Yellow Hat had gnever seen this type of creature before, but he sure liked this little monkey! The little monkey was gnot shy at all! Instead the little monkey was so curious about this gnome he had gnever seen and his bright yellow hat! Before long, the Gnome in the Yellow Hat had gnamed the monkey George and they started an amazing friendship together. George went to live with the Yellow-hatted Gnome and they went on many adventures together, learning about the garden all the time! Their adventures together were so grand that gnomes would tell them to their gnomelings for many generations to come.

Bitty Drummer

You might not believe it but when this little gnomette was younger she used to play the flute and though she played it quite well, she didn't really enjoy it.  One day she woke up and said she wanted to play the drums instead.  When her loved ones gave her a puzzled look and asked why, she simply said "I just feel it in me, that I want to play." It seemed like from the very instant she picked up her first drumsticks, magic happened.  Gno doubt, this bitty lady was a gnatural!  Gnow, many seasons later her life is still based around drums and music.  Whether it be in the community marching band, teaching younger gnomelings how to make a beat, or simply jamming with her friends, her drumsticks are gnever out of reach.  As she waits to meet other musicians as talented as she, she finds herself with plenty of time to practice and become the best she can be in her art.  And oh what an art it is!  Somehow she has managed to give her entire corner of the garden their own beat to hop to.  Gno doubt all the gnomes around her can feel her beat deep inside their bitty souls.

Guardians of the Rainbow Treasure

The garden is full of all sorts of guardians. You could even say that each and every gnome watches over somegnome or something that is loved and cherished. There's even a tribe of gnomes who are in charge of protecting the treasure located at the end of the rainbow. They're the most elite guardians, and these two are the best of the best. That's why they were given the most important guardian job of all. The treasure they're responsible for keeping safe isn't just a pot of gold. Oh no, that would be too easy. The treasure that these two watch over is much more valuable than anything that glitters. There are two little girls who live in the Northwest part of the garden. Every night they doze off to dreamland and it's these two who watch over the girls and keep them safe. They expertly chase away any bad dreams and replace them with visions of color and delight. Together they protect the two girls because together the two girls are one Mommy's most prized treasure. Together the two girls brighten her life with their colorful souls. Of course they deserve only the best to watch over them.

The Rainbow Makers

Once upon a garden there lived a wee wizard and a wee witch. They were inseparable because they had so much in common. They both loved lots and lots of colors and loved to help create the different hues and tones in the garden. Though they had lots in common and loved each other's company, they were also quite different. Rain, the wee wizard, loved painting sunsets the best. Bow, the wee witch, preferred the sunrises. Rain loved to splat colors here and there, in fun dancing sort of wisps. Bow, preferred to keep things organized in pretty straight lines. Rain loved to dance as he painted the garden. Bow loved to dream about how much prettier the garden could be. The two of them made quite a team, though. With the help of their magic, it was their responsibility to keep the garden as full of color as possible. It's a good thing they work so well as a team because everygnome knows that the garden needs a bit of playful colors AND a pinch of organized shades. Just imagine how dull the garden would be without them. No thanks. I much prefer the colors that melt your heart, brighten your smile and make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

My Sunflower

Some gnomes feel as though sunflowers are very close to their hearts. Some have even grown them with their loved ones for generations, season after season. Elder gnomes and gnomelings the same, they all respond to the gentle touch of a heart that has been kissed by a sunflower. Sunflowers can be magical like that. Take a look at my little sunflower. She alone changed a sad few days into a magical celebration, and my life will gnever be the same. So full of Grace, one look at her and her loved ones knew her heart had been kissed by the same sunflower as her elders. She is such a frilly girlie little gnomeling and loves holding her dolls and sitting with her loved ones while they sing to her. Sometimes she even has a little dance that is bursting from inside her tiny body. All the while, she has taken the lesson of the sunflower to heart. Lift your head high, and look towards the heavens. Life is good. Life is full of sunshine.

Holiday Wonder

Awww... Look how this tiny one's eyes are wide with wonder! He just woke up from what he felt was surely the longest little gnap ever. After his cozy little slumber, you might think it would take him awhile to open his eyes, but as he lazily trotted towards the Christmas tree, he had gno choice but to stop and stare in wide-eyed wonder. Oh My Gnomes! It seems everywhere he looked he saw gnothing but sparkles and tinsel. Even the air seemed crisp with yummy smells of holiday cheer. Could it be his imagination, or does it really seem that even the gnuzzles from his family seem filled with more love than before. Saint GNick sure does have a way with magic, doesn't he? Gno doubt this is all his fault. What a glorious sight it is. Gno, I'm gnot talking about the piles of presents under the tree or even the stockings stuffed with goodies. I'm talking about the twinkle in a gnomeling's wide eyes. Magic.

Santa's Helper

Eveygnome knows that its the elves who get most of the credit for helping out good ol' St. GNick in his preparations for the Christmas season, but let's not forget to give this tiny soul a little bit of credit too. He has a very big job, even if it's one that often goes un-gnoticed. Sants often gets stressed and overwhelmed by the amount of work he has to do, all for a very strict deadline. There is gno option of slipping the date as the children of the world are gnot exactly known for their ability to understand the concept of a "workload." I wouldn't be surprised if this comes as a shock to you. Santa always seems like such a jolly old soul, but I think that is in large part because this tiny fella does his job so well. He's St. GNick's personal life coach. It's his job to cheer up the wonderfully generous man when he is down. The fact that Santa can always be seen with a smile on his face and a jolly laugh in his tummy means this tiny fella is doing his job well. Without him, Santa's entire reputation would be at stake!

Book Worm

Most gnomes live in the garden, each in their tiny little cozy gnooks. Be it in under a mushroom, or in a hollow log, everygnome allows one thing to guide them to finding the location of their home - their gnose. You might have gnoticed by gnow, but everygnome has a big gnose, and for very good reason. The sense of smell is most important to gnomekind. Think about it... the reason most gnomes live in the garden is the variety of smells the outdoors offer. Some like the smell of the moist ground after a rainfall most of all. Some like the smell of the flowers in the garden, while other like the smell of freshly cut grass the best. Gnot this little fella. As luck would have it, he once stumbled into a grand old library and his gnose instantly told him he was home. Oh the smell of grand old books! There was gnothing like it in the entire garden! Gnever before had he felt so cozy, for as you may know, where ever you may find a happy gnose, you will also find a cozy gnome. What about you? What scent tells your gnose that you are home?

The Scholar

I doubt you'd be surprised to hear that Gnomish history is rich with stories and lessons from seasons past. For countless generations young gnomelings have loved gathering around a gnice warm fire to hear the stories of the adventures their ancestors lived. The only thing better than a good story, with lessons on how to make the garden a better place, is one that REALLY happened! It's scholars like this little fella who deserve the thanks for the time-honored tradition of respecting and learning from the past so that the Gnomish community can know how to make their future as bright as possible. This tiny scholar has always loved history and that's why he decided to carry it on as his role in the garden. It's his passion. He has always volunteered his time in the local museum but now that he has graduated he can become the garden's official historian! He is happiest when he can share his passion with others, and the gnomes who are lucky enough to hear his stories will gnever be the same. They will gnever forget how grand Gnomish history has and will continue to be.
