Wee Stowaways

These two little gnomekins try their hardest to stay out of trouble, but sometimes trouble just finds them. When this happens, it's a good thing that they're so adorable - they make it easier to just laugh along instead of scolding them. Just look at them, it doesn't take long to see that even though they're different, they share a bond that radiates love from their tiny little bodies. These two are going to have some grand adventures together and they've already devised their plan for their first... When Mommy and Daddy are both busy packing for their long weekend away, these two little souls are going to sneak into their bags and tag along! Shhh! They're hiding!

PERSONAL GNOTE:
I wanted to make these little girls for Daddy to take with him on his business trips (a daddy gnome might be needed to stay behind with Ellie and Addie). The butterfly one matches Ellie's big girl room and the rainbow matches what Addie's big girl room will look like soon. Because of the timing, it looks like these two little gnomes will join us when we go to Oxford England in a couple weeks... but I am looking forward to when our girls can tag along themselves. There is something about the idea of traveling across so many timezones with young children that terrifies us. No thank you. Not right now anyway. The time will come.

Tickle Bugs

Do you hear that tiny little giggle? I just love that sound! It must be coming from this little sprite, and I can now see why. It looks like she's got little ladybugs running all over her, trying to tickle the daylights out of her! They just adore her, and that can only mean one thing - she has a kind soul and is compassionate, uplifting and absolutely loves to laugh. Doesn't it just make you want to spend more time with her? Don't worry, that's the effect she has on everygnome.

Guardian of the Strawberry Patch

It's no secret that strawberries are delicious, but the ones that are grown by gnomes are particularly sweet and juicy. So it should come as no surprise that the town council voted unanimously the strawberry patch needs to be protected. Not just anygnome can qualify for such an important job. We need a master of the mind, a master of disguise, a master of all things green... who better to protect the patch than a master gardener?! Now that the strawberries are safe, the gnome colony has no worries about having enough berries for their upcoming strawberry festival. It's one of the best events of the year!

A Little Something...

I figured that since I've made 100 gnomes, now is as good of a time as any to show you my new stamp. I absolutely love this thing! I feel like it is the perfect finishing touch to my little creations. Wouldn't you agree?

So far I've only been able to include the stamp on a little tag for my packages of joy, but I'm also thinking of stamping it onto the envelopes before I send them away. I don't know... it's hard to say, but I do know that it makes me happy.

Thanks to Lemonade Sun for creating the perfect little hand carved stamp for me. She was great at making exactly what I wanted even though I wasn't even sure of what that was. lol.

Tiny Gnest (Gniffer's 100th Gnome!)

Spring has come and this tiny tweet can't help but love the sights around her. This is her favorite season, when the flowers, butterflies and ladybugs all come out to play. Her favorite, though, are the bluebird nests nearby because she holds friends and family closest to her heart so she understands why the birds gather sticks and twigs and work so hard to make their own cozy little home for their family. In fact, she thinks it's such a brilliant idea that she decides to do the same! She starts to look for all the things she loves and makes her happy... She loves color, so of course she needs her nest to be bright. She loves anything miniature so these buttons are just perfect! Add a couple jewels that remind her of her own dear daughter and precious mother... and a key for a finishing touch? Oh, why not?! It all puts a smile on her face.

PERSONAL GNOTE:
This little gal is my 100th gnome! Wow! It's hard to believe that there are 100 Gniffer Gnomes out in the world today! CRAZY! I'm still having a lot of fun. I'm selling enough gnomes to keep me busy but I also have been able to give some away too, or even at a highly discounted price. I love that I'm still able to do that because it makes me so happy to give someone else a smile. My wee little life is good.

Little Badunkadunk

This little badunkadunk of a gnomette is filled with all the good stuff. And the reason for that? Well she fills her life up with the good stuff, of course! Che Che understands that it's the simple things that are such tasty delights. She loves to read, but does so with a very big (by gnome standards) buttercup of berry juice! And to top it off, she loves to cook up a tasty meal for her friends and family... it seems like she always has plans with some dear loved gnome. Just about everygnome loves spending time with her because she is sweet, funny and oh such a delight to be around! Personally, I think they hope that some of her goodness might rub off on them - she makes being happy look so easy. Give me some of whatever she was having, please!

A Bug's Life

These gnomes have been assigned to bug duty, a job that every gnome in the community has to serve on occasion. While serving bug duty, one is responsible for counting all the insects in the garden (to help determine if there is enough yummy stuff for them to eat)! This is no easy task, as I'm sure you can imagine. Some bugs are fast and they zip around trying to avoid being counted. Other bugs like to hide and hope to not be ever be seen for the count. And finally, there are bugs that hop back and forth, hoping to be counted twice. They all think it's just fun and games. This time is different, though. This time the bug patrol has decided to disguise themselves so they can get close enough to get the most accurate count in history. Wish them luck, because for such small beings, I don't think they realize just how big those numbers can really get! It's a bitty job, but somegnome has to do it.

Doc Little

This wee-est of doctors has always lived so much bigger than his size may indicate. He is always strong and determined to make the most of his time. Whether it be playing the guitar and singing a heart-felt joyful song, canoeing down the stream in the high garden, or camping out under the forests of thistles, he has loved it all. The others in the gnome community have always loved to see the photos he brings back from his adventures - he has a way of capturing the garden around him that brings out its, often unnoticed, stunning beauty. And all the while, he has acted as the community physician simply because it makes his heart sing. Whew! That's enough to make anygnome exhausted, and so now it's time for him to take a wee rest... to rest up for the next adventure, because you just know it's going to be just as grand! Think grand snuggles. Grand kisses. Grandchildren.

Little Miss Ladybird

It is common knowledge amongst the gnome community that ladybirds love being around gentle, uplifting beings for their leaf-like qualities. This little lady has grown up understanding completely why the ladybirds are so attracted to these traits, and has always felt the same way herself. After pondering the situation for quite a bitty time, she had a brilliant idea! If ladybirds can always be found around uplifting positive souls, then perhaps the opposite is true too? So off she went, to disguise herself as a ladybird. If she's lucky, she'll find herself surrounded by gentle, positive thinkers. Oh she's so excited to see if her experiment will work! Personally, I think it will, don't you?

PERSONAL GNOTE:
This little ladybug was made for a customer in my Etsy shop. She's in England, which should explain the "ladybird" vs "ladybug." Regardless, I think this little lady turned out pretty endearing.

Bitty BFFs

Gnomes of all shapes and sizes are well known for their ability to make friends with those who come into their lives. There is just something about their sweet nature that makes it easy for them to find that one special thing that they have in common with each other. It's always different, but the connection is always there. Just look at these two little ladies - I'm sure you've never seen a closer set of friends before. It seems that they're always together - whether it be studying the vein patterns on leaves or frolicking in the breeze when they think it's just the two of them around - they're almost inseparable. The best thing is that they appreciate each other for being so unique. Together they have the perfect combination and their friendship thrives on not only their similarities, but their differences too. That's a special friendship indeed.

April Showers and May Flowers

This wee little droplet is so excited! For so long he has wondered how he could be helpful even though he is so tiny, but now he has found a wonderful friend who not only sees his great potential, but also loves him for just the droplet he is today. And with her help, May has discovered that he has a knack for sprinkling just enough moisture on just the right seedlings, and April loves him for it because it makes her job of tending to the new blossoms oh so much easier! It was a perfect friendship, right from the start. Little May loves feeling so appreciated and April can't imagine life in the garden without her new friend - a tiny droplet though he may be. Together they make such a great team!

Little Home Task Force II

Some daddies are special. They go to faraway lands to help other people. They miss their families at home very much… So the gnome community created a highly skilled Home Task Force to take care of these families. Only the gentlest, noblest gnomes are chosen for such an important job. Oh, they love the families they keep company! They know how to be brave when their family is scared. They know it’s ok to cry sometimes. They also know it’s ok to laugh and play, even when a girl misses her daddy. And best of all, they always work in pairs: a Home Gnome takes care of the family, and a Traveler Gnome goes with Daddy to the faraway land. Everyone’s favorite day is when Daddy comes home, and they can all be together again!

Staff Sergeant Gned is so excited – he just found out he gets to be Home Gnome for little Ancel!! He has a special place in his heart for him (he's always wanted to help raise a man-cub!), and was hoping to be the gnome who got to take care of him.

This little fella is so happy to have been chosen for the Traveler Gnome position. He can't wait to listen to Daddy's stories about how proud he is of his little boy. How fun!

Calming Lavender

This wee soul has discovered her place in the garden. Lavendar prides herself in creating one-of-a-kind fuzzy friends to give to the gnomes around her. Nothing else wakes her in the middle of the night as often as thinking about what she's going to make next! The little gnomekins squeel with delight whenever they're lucky enough to receive one of her oh-so-soft creations. But that's not Lavendar's only talent! It seems that whenever a gnome sees her, whether it be at the sunflower seed mart or grass station, they can't help but tell her all about their problems. And this is when her true talent shines through! She is able to counsel them and hold their hand through their tough times. She even manages to throw in a tiny lesson or two about how important it is to have an optimistic attitude. There is nothing more magical than positive energy! Whether it be the scent of the flowers she carries or her calming words, one thing is for sure - the magic works!

An Old Friend

Sometimes even gnomes drift away from old friends. There always seems to be too much to do before the sun goes down - too many flowers to tend to or pebbles to pick up. And there is always the excuse of traffic - sometimes just the thought of crossing the garden, when what seems like millions of ants are crossing with you, well it's enough to make anygnome want to just stay home in her cozy nest. And so the days pass by, but even with all the hectic happenings, one thing remains constant. A friend is a friend is a friend and everygnome knows that when the decision is finally made to meet up again, two friends will pick up right where they left off. It's good to see you again, my friend!

Little Byte

Ever since he was a wee bit, this little byte of a gnome has had a different way of looking at the garden around him. When others see a great big beautiful world and are bewildered by its detail and complexity, he has the rare ability to view it as an infinite number of yes and no opportunities. He starts with the yes and no and builds on it until eventually he understands how everything around him works, whether it be the color of the leaves or the sound of the stream. As incredible as that sounds, the thing he understands the most is his love. And it is because of this that he covers himself with bright emerald flowers - her favorite color on him. He'll do anything to impress her because with his love by his side, this gnome knows there is no limit to his knowledge.

Easter Posse II

Meet the Easter Posse. These brave little souls were chosen by the community to ensure no one is breaking the laws of Easter. They're tasked to go round up all the Easter misfits so that the holiday goes as smoothly as possible. But there's just one problem... even the bravest of gnomes knows very little about confrontation, so when they hear a twig snap in the woods they quickly put their plan into action before even confirming the source of the sound. The gnome disguised as a bunny does what bunnies do best - he hops away. The carrot fella does what carrots do best - he sticks his head in the sand so that all you can see are his feet and tail. And the egg boy? Well, what do eggs do best? Hatch? Now, wait just a minute... that was NOT in the job description!

PERSONAL GNOTE:
This is the second Easter Posse. Literally the day after I sold the first one, someone asked me to make another! They're so cute!
