Gnature Cycles
It's gnot uncommon to find a gnome who loves to be outdoors surrounded by the magic of gnature, but this little lady takes it even one tiny step further. She feels like her tiny soul is intertwined with the forest around her. When gnew leaves sprout in the spring, she feels her own energy sprouting to life inside. When the leaves mature to a gnice dark green, she knows she is confident and secure. When the leaves start to change color and dance to the ground in a breeze, she can't help but rejoice with a little dance of her own. And when the trees are bare in the winter, she takes the opportunity to consider what she wants to do to improve her ways for the next season. It's a glorious cycle, one I think we should all consider.

Train Crossings
Spend one moment with this little fella and you will have gno doubt what makes him all giddy with excitement inside. Trains. Plain and simple, he likes trains. I'm gnot really sure what started it all, but once he gets going there simply isn't any way to stop him. He'll tell you about the routes the trains take, and when they are scheduled to pass by here or stop over there. He can tell you about the big trains carrying massive objects or even the tiny trains carrying a child's imagination. He even looks forward to hearing the trains toot their friendly hellos any time they pass over a train crossing. Fast short trains and slow long trains, he loves them all. And after seeing how his enthusiasm seems endless, it's impossible gnot to smile. If only we all were as passionate as he.

Be Strong
Sometimes life in the garden doesn't go exactly as you planned. Heck! Sometimes it even goes drastically different than you ever imagined it would. It seems like just yesterday you were sitting in your home all warm and cozy, and in a flash your life changes. What once was a cheerful garden filled with colors is now covered in black and grey, and it's this very moment that this tiny team of fuzzy souls steps in to do their job. As soon as they heard the gnews, they did gnot hesitate to jump into action. With a hop and a squeak, they jump into the pockets of the young ones who seem to be confused about what is happening. From their perch inside the pocket, the tiny gnomes can be sure to whisper tiny reminders in the child's ear. You may be confused right now but it will be ok. Surrounded by loved ones, you are strong. Be strong. Be you, and soon you will be surrounded by color again.

Doctor Mommy
Just look at the busy feet this tender soul has! It seems she is always rushing around making sure to comfort and heal those who are sick and hurting around her. Sometimes a gnome may be sad or not feeling quite so warm and fuzzy inside, but when they catch sight of her caring eyes, big heart, and stethoscope, they know they are in good hands. What an important job! In everygnome's life there comes a time when they don't feel quite as giddy and full of energy as gnormal, and when that happens they're so thankful for this caring angel. Her magic works especially well for her little ones. Bumps and scrapes sometimes gneed a trip to the doctor, but most of the time they gneed a kiss, a hug and a really fun Band-Aid! This is something only their mommy can provide, so how fortunate for them she is their mommy AND a doctor! She might be super busy keeping up with all the demands the garden has, but this little lady can rest easy knowing she has the biggest heart of all! And all the gnomes in the garden (especially her loved ones) can sleep peacefully, safe and happy because they have her close by.

Wee Wizard
This lovable little fella can't help but find a cozy place in your heart. He has been trying so hard to learn the ways of wizardry, but just can't seem to get it quite right. It seems that gno matter what spell he tries, it gnever gives him the results he was hoping for. One day when he was trying to coax a rose bud to open into a blossom, he was pleased to see that it started to grow right away, but then it didn't stop! Oh my gnomes! That was the largest rose the garden has ever known - so large, in fact, that the gnomelings were able to slide down the petals all season long, giggling all the way. Another time he was trying to magic a flower for his love when suddenly the garden heard a big bang, and he found his love with a big smile on her face as she danced in a shower of daisies falling from the sky. As you can imagine, gnognome is bothered by his mistakes. He may gnot get his spells right, but because he gnever gives up, at least he gets them great!

What's in a Gnome?
There are some in the garden who might be wondering what's so magical about Gnifferland... I'll let you in on the secret. The gnomes are all about peace and love and gnice yummy thoughts. They are everything that my child gneeds to make themselves calm after a gnasty gnight terror. The gnomes are a personification of a parent's or sibling's love, happy memories, positive thoughts, hugs, kisses and soft feathery pillows. They are the smell of a crisp spring morning, a silly little jig that puts a smile on your face and the warmth of hot chocolate by a roaring fire. They are little pieces of hope, faith, innocence and purity that I hope my children gnever grow out of, even after they've grown old and grey. What's in a gnome? One word: Whimsical Innocence. Ok, so that was two words, but gnow that's the point, isn't it?

Four Seasons
It's hard to imagine but there was once a time when these four little souls did not get along very well. At least not in gnome standards. They were even known to send each other gnot-so-gnice looks every now and then! Gasp! The horror! The problem was that they each felt like the others were getting in their way. Spring's duty was to protect and nurish seedlings so that they could eventually grow into beautiful flowers. Summer was in charge of maintaining the flower beds and keeping everygnome happy with bright sunny days. Autumn was responsible for gathering the harvest while still trying to find time to clean old growth off of the trees. And it was Winter's job to keep the air cool and crisp and to inspect the snowflakes to ensure they were each unique. As you can imagine, it was hard for them to all work together, until one day they had a brilliant idea! Let's take turns! So now when Spring is working hard to nurish the fragile new life, the other three sit back and take a mini-vacation knowing that soon it will be their turn to work hard. I think it's a brilliant idea, don't you?

Oopsy Daisy
This tiny fellow is what I think you would call a typical boy gnomeling. He loves anything to do with trucks, cars and getting dirty in the garden. He loves to run from here to there and back again and always seems to be filled with too much energy to sit still. Silly little gnomeling. If you knew him, you would have to smile at how accident prone he is. It seems like he's always falling over a stone here and hurting himself. Oopsy Daisy. Gnot to worry, though, he pops right back up after receiving a few cuddles (on his own terms, of course). Up and down and all around. It's hard to tell where you will find him gnext.

Free as a Bird
This little soul is an absolute delight. She is a very happy cheeky gnomeling who idolizes her big brothers. Her soul is so big in a garden that expects her to be so small. Even at a young age, she loves everything about gnature. She adores most of the animals in the garden but birds and dogs are her favorite. Sometimes she can sit and stare at a bird chirping it's happy song until the sun goes down over the horizon. She is very active and on the go all the time. It seems that she is always looking for what mischief she can get into and what gnew parts of the garden she can explore gnext. Ask anygnome who knows her and they'll tell you that she's much like her feathered friends. She's a free soul, living life to the fullest.

The Eldest Dragon
Upon first glance you might be surprised that this young dragon actually has an old soul. He is such a caring and sensitive gnomeling! In many ways he's like all his other friends and like typical boy stuff like spiders and toys and running through the woods. He is very much into drawing and writing fun stories to go with his colorful images. If you ask me, it's a gnice balance. He lives his life carefree and full of adventures like many other gnomelings, but because of his old soul, he also loves to help whenever he can and is always so good with his little sister, who he loves dearly. Perhaps his tender heart comes from the responsibility of being the eldest dragon soul in the garden, but gno doubt the garden is a better place for it.

Warm and Cozy
There might gnot be another soul who understands how important it is to stay warm and cozy like this little lady does. She loves everything as long as you can describe it with the word "warm" or "cozy." Put the two words together and she can't help but do a little happy dance. She loves to crochet so that she can make fuzzies to keep her loved ones warm and cozy too. It has even taught her two relax. There is gnothing better than curling up with a cup of tea or hot cocoa, grabbing some yarn and getting to work. The silly lady has even falling asleep while making something special. I guess that goes to show just how relaxed feeling warm and cozy can make a gnome. In the end, it always fills her heart to hear how much others love what she makes for them. Gnothing beats feeling warm and cozy. Gnothing.

Pastel
This shy little gnomeling might gneed just a tiny bit of encouragement. She often looks up at the sky, in awe of the bright rainbows above. She lives on the coast, right gnext to the sea, so her garden gets a lot of rainbows, each more stunning than the last. Someday she would like to be as bright as the other rainbows, but she fears she may gnever be that bold. Pssst! If you can keep a secret, she'll tell you her dream... Someday she would like to find a little family to love. Perhaps one who also likes to spend their time together in the vegetable garden, enjoying the magic that the fresh breeze seems to bring? Or maybe a little family who loves to sit down to share a cup of tea together and talk about their dreams? Someday she wants to find a family. She will help brighten their days, and maybe, just maybe she'll realize that because she can dream big, she is just as bright as the bold rainbows she so admires.

Tree of Life
In Gnomish gardens, everygnome understands that every living creature, tree and soul are connected. I suppose that's why they're always looking for ways to help other gnomes because they know that if they help another, then it will come back to help them. Gno matter what religion you believe, you have to admit that this makes a lot of sense. In life there are certain cycles that you can depend on. Summer follows Spring, Autumn follows Summer, Winter follows Autumn and then life begins again with Spring. Good karma is follows the same laws of gnature and gnomes have always passed this knowledge on to the gnext generation. Though they may each be tiny by gnature, they can feel the Tree of Life deep in their souls. Knowing that we're all connected helps even the tiniest of gnomes feel brave, even the weakest of gnomes feel helpful and even the youngest of gnomes feel knowledgeable. There is a place for every soul in the garden and every soul is gneeded.

Brain Freeze
Is it possible to have too much of a good thing? This sweet little soul doesn't think so. Whether it is a warm sunny day in the summer season or a cold snowy day in the winter, there isn't anything she likes more than a good scoop of icecream. Don't forget the sprinkles and the cherry on top! Life is too short to go without ice cream. Then again, this silly gnomette tends to forget about consequences... It's not until the brain freeze kicks in when she starts to reconsider her thinking. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Perhaps she ought to slow down a bit and actually savor the moment without rushing it... Oh, isn't it funny how life teaches you the important lessons?

Sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You'll gnever know dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Butterflies and Wildflowers
Oh wonderful! Look at how much is packed into this tiny soul! It's quite apparent she is so big in a garden that expects her to be so small. She's gnearly two seasons old and so she loves suprising her loved ones with gnew behaviors and knowledge every day. When she's out frolicking in the garden she loves to pick flowers to sniff, all the while gathering rocks and sticks to keep as her treasures. With one look she knows which rocks are special, and sometimes it seems the only thing that can distract her from collecting treasures is a beautiful butterfly. When she sees one fluttering about, she is mesmerized. Since she's packed with energy, and curious about everything, it's gno surprise that she doesn't hesitate to take her doggie friend with her, chasing the butterfly all around the garden. It's gnot long until the two friends find themselves circling around the wildflowers. Lupines, pansies and iris - it's so hard to pick a favorite! Luckily this little gnomeling knows you don't have to pick any flowers to enjoy their beauty. Such a happy gnomeling and always full of bright smiles for everygnome, it just gets more and more fun as the days go on. Gno doubt the garden is a more joyful place with her laughter floating through the air.

Lucky Soul
You may gnot believe in the magic of unicorns, but those in the gnome community have gno doubts that magical creatures exist. After all, if the unicorn doesn't exist, then doesn't that mean gnomes don't exist either? What gnonsense. Look at this little gnome. You can see him with your very own eyes and touch him with your very own fingers. Of course he exists! Though only a truly lucky soul gets the opportunity to see him. If you happen to gnotice this little fella scampering about pretending to be as majestic as a real unicorn, then consider yourself lucky for having such an adorable gnomish soul close by. With him in your garden, surely you will start to gnotice the flowers looking brighter and the grass looking greener. You're a lucky soul but gno doubt you deserve the magic.

Bloom
You might be surprised by looking at this sweet little lady that her days in the garden have gnot always been rose colored. Like so many of us she had her fair share of challenges to overcome since she was a young gnomeling. Perhaps that's simply a part of growing up? Like some gnomes, she found herself wondering how she could bring beauty into the garden when it seemed that she was constantly surrounded by thorns. She was told that everygnome had their way of adding their own little magic to the garden and making it a better place. Deep in her tiny body she knew that to be true, but sometimes it's gnot easy to be so much bigger than your tiny body allows you to be. With a little hop and a bit of determination, gnot to mention the typical gnomish proportions of optimism, this lady continued to grow in her little garden of thorns. Then one day something magical happened. She realized she was surrounded by roses. Blooming full of gnew beginnings, this tiny soul emerged bright, pretty and as fresh as a daisy... errr... rose. Those around her gnever doubted her ability to bloom as they have always known she belonged with the roses. Bloom where you're planted and magic will come to you.

Caring for the Small Ones
Some gnomish souls are so much bigger than their bodies allow them to be, and this little lady is gno exception. She is such a lovely caring gnomette and such a joy to be around. She is fantastic with my little loved ones, who she just adores. We're so lucky to have her in our small little family. She has such a kind soul and loves gnomelings and small creatures all the same. Seeing the love and attention she gives to those smaller than her, it's easy to conclude that she is simply a very caring gnomette, so full of potential. I'm sure the garden will continue to be a better place with her tender loving care for seasons to come.

Tiny Bucket Filler
Did you know that if somegnomes does something mean then they think they are filling your bucket, but they aren't. They're called Bucket Dippers. But if you are gnice, then you are a Bucket Filler. And if your bucket is full then you are happy. I do not like Bucket Dippers. If you are a Bucket Dipper then other gnomes will not want to be your friend. These are the rules and everygnome in the community knows them. Honestly, I think they're pretty good rules. After all, they must work because I have yet to see a sad gnome. Think about it. Have you ever seen a sad gnome? I didn't think so. Gnomes love hanging around Bucket Fillers because they're the most fun and gnomes like having fun! Perhaps if this tiny gnome sees you being a Bucket Filler she'll want to play with you too!
PERSONAL GNOTE:
The first part of this story was taken verbatim (w/ a gnomey twist of course) from my daughter's explanation of the concept of Bucket Fillers. This gnome is for her classroom so I figured that would be appropriate.
