A Fab Friend

Some souls are kind beyond words. Take this really really lovely little lady, for example. It seems that she is always on the go, trying to find new ways to help her loved ones. I don't know how she does it, but nothing is too much trouble; it's almost as though nothing ever gets her down. Perhaps she gets her inspiration from her two little gnomelings at home? Wherever it comes from, it's working because those in the community know that they can count on her to brighten somegnome's day. It's apparent that she brings so much joy and beauty to the garden. She has a gnomazing talent for listening to other gnomes' problems and giving them a comforting shoulder to cry on. I know for a fact that she has helped more than her share of friends get through bad times. She is truly a fab friend indeed, and the garden is lucky to have her.

As Tall as a Giraffe

From the moment this gnomette saw her first giraffe, she was in love. She was sure that no other creature could be as graceful or magestic as the giraffe, not to mention inspiring! After all, for a gnome who is so big in a world that expects her to be so small, a tall giraffe makes for a perfect role model. Imagine how grand it would feel to be that tall! What would she be able to see from way up there? The tops of the trees? Beyond the garden walls? Perhaps the inside of a cloud or two? And to think, everygnome would look up to her (little does she know that they already do)! Perhaps if she just thinks about being tall, then someday she might very well be. Think tall thoughts, little gnomie. I think it's working already!

Musical Gnotes

Long ago this little gnomette discovered that when she sings to her precious Olive tree, the tiny tree seems to grow stronger. Needless to say, she quickly fell in love so she made it her goal to find the best music out there to bring it back to her garden to help her little tree thrive. She ventures far and wide to hear gnew music and old music she knows and loves. She goes to big places and small places, collecting cherry music gnotes along the way. She can often be seen sitting on warm Red Rocks soaking in the melodies around her, and most certainly can be found at the Meter High Music Festival. When she is satisfied with her new discoveries, she brings the beautiful musical gnotes she has found back to the garden with her to give to her loved ones. Though she loves showing the music she has discovered with anygnome who comes within her site, she always looks forward to sharing it with her special Olive tree the most. And my gosh, has the tree flourished because of her love!

Gnuper Heros

Every little gnomeling wants to be a gnuper hero when they grow up. After all gnuper heros are always the ones who rescue those in need of help. Besides, there is nothing more cool than a good cape or a good mask! After practicing their moves and technique, every little gnomeling gets his turn to climb Mt Comic. Atop the mountain there is a wise old soul who, as Gnomish Legend goes, can see into a young gnomling's soul and know if he has the stuff that makes a hero. These two young ones nervously walk to the top of the mountain and the old soul takes his time observing them. After what seems like multiple seasons, he finally speaks. The verdict? Indeed, they have what it takes to make a real difference in the world. They can hardly believe it and quickly run back to the garden to tell their friends! Little do they know that the wise soul has the same answer for every gnome who comes seeking for confirmation.

Crab Apple

Oh wormy apples! This sour little fella seems to be as crabby as can be! Why, I am not sure. Perhaps he did not get enough snooze time? Maybe he just needs to fill his tummy with more berries? Or perhaps he's just tired of tripping over his feet! They are gnomatic, aren't they? Whatever the reason may be, this crab apple needs your help and quick! What can you do to cheer him up? Sing a happy song? Tell him a gnometastic joke? Give both him and his pet worm a tasty treat? Compliment him on his nose? Do something nice for him like help tie his shoes? Think fast! The quicker we can lift his spirits, the faster the garden will return to a sunny cheerful place!

Loud Mouth

It's not uncommon for most gnomes to assume that being a Loud Mouth is not a good trait. After all, when somegnome gets interrupted during a fun spirited chatty conversation, or woken from a late afternoon nap on a sunny rock, there is almost always a Loud Mouth to blame. And no gnome likes it when another speaks so loud they can not hear their own thoughts. However, this cutie is a well-known Loud Mouth, but for all the right reasons. She knows there are times when somegnome needs to speak-up, like when you know the right (or even wrong) answer to a question, or when you're encouraging another gnome to be as tall as he can be, or when you're singing a joyous song as you frolic through the woods. Before she speaks, she wonders if her thought is something that should stay inside her thinking bubble, and if not... then how loud (or quietly as the case may be) should she share it? Go ahead, be the best and loudest mouth you can be, but remember that your actions will ALWAYS be louder than your words.

Sweetly Twisted

Most gnomes in the community focus their attention on the abundance of life in the garden, which comes as gno surprise. After all, it's easy to see the beauty in life. This sweetly twisted gnomette, though, is gnot like all the others. She has always liked things a little edgy and is able to see beauty in the completion of the life cycle. Gnaturally, it's her job to tend to the plants and flowers that die in the garden. It's such an important job because all flowers die every year and if somegnome did gnot take care of them, they would gnot be able to return to bloom in the spring. It goes without saying that gnot all gnomes understand her fascination, but that does gnot matter much to her. She understands better than most that the true enchantment of the garden comes from the completion of life's cycle and she is honored to play such an important role in that gnomazing cycle.

Guardian of the Strawberry Patch

It's no secret that strawberries are delicious, but the ones that are grown by gnomes are particularly sweet and juicy. So it should come as no surprise that the town council voted unanimously the strawberry patch needs to be protected. Not just anygnome can qualify for such an important job. We need a master of the mind, a master of disguise, a master of all things green... who better to protect the patch than a master gardener?! Now that the strawberries are safe, the gnome colony has no worries about having enough berries for their upcoming strawberry festival. It's one of the best events of the year!

Butterfly Kisses

To a gnome, there are few things luckier than butterflies, especially the tiny fluttery sort. It is said that if a butterfly kisses you then you will have a life time of success at whatever you want to do. And so it is not uncommon to see the wee folk lounging about in the butterfly fields hoping for a quick little peck. But look what's happening now! All the butterflies are gathering around one tiny little gnomeling! Her parents are so thrilled with her arrival (they've waited such a long while), and like any parent, they want her future filled with love and adventure (two great measures of success) so they brought her here to see... perhaps one butterfly might get close enough? By the looks of it, that is no problem. The wee gnomeling squeals with delight at the fluttering chaos around her. Surely it's a sign that this baby has a bright future ahead of her! It's obvious she's loved by all, and that's a good start.

Tickle Bugs

Do you hear that tiny little giggle? I just love that sound! It must be coming from this little sprite, and I can now see why. It looks like she's got little ladybugs running all over her, trying to tickle the daylights out of her! They just adore her, and that can only mean one thing - she has a kind soul and is compassionate, uplifting and absolutely loves to laugh. Doesn't it just make you want to spend more time with her? Don't worry, that's the effect she has on everygnome.

An Old Friend

Sometimes even gnomes drift away from old friends. There always seems to be too much to do before the sun goes down - too many flowers to tend to or pebbles to pick up. And there is always the excuse of traffic - sometimes just the thought of crossing the garden, when what seems like millions of ants are crossing with you, well it's enough to make anygnome want to just stay home in her cozy nest. And so the days pass by, but even with all the hectic happenings, one thing remains constant. A friend is a friend is a friend and everygnome knows that when the decision is finally made to meet up again, two friends will pick up right where they left off. It's good to see you again, my friend!

Little Kiss

This sweet little bite has always looked a little on the plain side, but does that bother him? Oh, no not at all. He understands that it's what is on the inside that matters most, not how many flowers you're able to carry or how bright their petals might be. He may look simple to you or me, but I'm sure he's the sweetest thing you'll ever meet if you just take a moment to savor everything he has to offer. Just take a look at the gang of kisses he has stumbled into... They know instantly that he's a keeper and is just as sweet as they are. They make the best of friends and kisses are exchanged all around. To make it official, they even hand over one of their coveted silver jackets. You know only the most delicious of souls are welcomed into the Little Kiss Gang!

Sparky

Have you ever thought that you know everything there is to know? Not this little fellow. He just wasn't satisfied with all the things there is to know about the garden life he and his friends have. He knew there was more out there, even beyond the garden wall and the big blue river, and he wanted to learn about it! Not only did he want to see what's out there, he wanted to learn HOW it all works too. And look what he found - a string of lights! Won't the gnomes back home be impressed? He's excited to tell them about how he discovered a world of high tech inventions galore. They taught him that P=IV and V=IR and since he strongly believes with every micro-ounce of his body that Knowledge is Power... does that mean Knowledge is proportional to Resistance? Hmmm... maybe there's some fuzzy math in there? Perhaps he just forgot to divide by two or carry the one?

Two Hearts

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful gnomette whose tiny world was turned upside down when she met her special gnomey. It happened at a hat party, which you know must have been a good party. The instant this gnomette saw his tall pointy hat, she just KNEW he was her love. She quickly learned that she couldn't resist his cute French accent or his trusty Schroooompf either. They bashfully exchanged hearts and from that moment on, their heads were filled with parades of love as they schroompfed all around together eating Carissa-toast, sipping Earl Grey Creme tea, flying kites, cuddling their little bodies together, contra dancing with all the cute old gnomes, massaging, frequenting Splash Cafe as often as possible and finishing their days with cinnamon buns, plenty of icing, and sweet sweet kisses. Life in the garden couldn't be any better!

Marching Bugs

When searching for a good marching team, most gnomes would look to the ant community for help. And who could blame them? Ants are born to march. But look at what this little lady is doing! She has decided to coach a marching team of ladybugs! Oh my! The way she figures it, the ladybug is a well-known good luck charm, so why not build a team around that? Now, after bushels and bushels of hard work, she has coached her marching team into a beautiful synchonized display of black, white and red, with a touch of silver. Quite honestly, I like her style!

Forget Me Gnot

Our little ones whisper,
"Forget me gnot",
As their specialness wraps
around our heart.
Their short little lives
Hold meaning and love.
Their spirits have touched
us-each and everygnome.
They have left their gifts
For us to uncover,
If we open our eyes,
our hearts and our lives.
The road to discovery
is hilly and dark.
Will we long harbor the pain
or set our wings for the light?
Our lives have been changed,
our paths filled with sorrow.
Yet their memories embrace us
and our love lasts forever.
If we open our hearts,
their gifts shall unfold,
as we
forget them gnot.

Colorful Clutz

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Look at what has happened to the garden! It is this little gnome's job to touch up all the colors in the garden to ensure they are their brightest for the upcoming summer season. Most of the colors need very little touch-up, but she still needs to make sure that the grass is as green as green can be, the skies are the bluest you've ever seen, and the flowers are so red that they'd make anygnome proud. But look at what has happened! The clumsy little clutz has spilled all her paint! Now you can't tell one flower apart from the next... they all look like rainbows! What a mess! What a perfectly beautiful mess!

Pokey and Her Gnew Pet

Meet little Pokey. For as long as she can remember, she has begged her parents to get a pet, and not just any pet, mind you. She's not interested in owning an ant because everygnome has an ant - how boring. Those who don't have ants, usually have a flea - yuck. Oh, no siree, Pokey wants a gnometastic pet and she knows just the right kind... a snail! Well no wonder her parents are hesitant! Everygnome knows how wild a snail can be. Sure they look cute and cuddly when they're squirmy little babies, but eventually they grow up to be big, ugly, energetic bouncing creatures that do nothing but eat all your food and smell bad until they finally croak. No wait, that's a tadpole. Hmmm... now where was I? Oh right, a snail? Uh... Umm... sure why not?

Gnight Gnight Gnomie

This little gnomie has had a very long day and is so sleepy! It's time to wash up, put on her favorite polka-dotted jammies and head to bed. But wait! Where is her lovie? She absolutely CAN NOT sleep without her beloved lovie. Oh, there he is... as soft and cuddly as he ever was. I'm sure there's no convincing her that anything is softer than her lovie, and by the look of comfort in her eyes it's obvious that there isn't anything she cherishes more. There is nothing better than watching a little gnomeling fall asleep with the look of security and love in her drooping eyes. Gnight gnight, little gnomie. Sweet dreams.

Live Laugh Love

Everygnome has heard the community rules before and even the little gnomelings know not to break them. Rule #1: Live well. Rule #2: Laugh often. Rule #3: Love much. Every now and then there is a disagreement on which rule is the most important and when this happens the leaders in the community conduct a survey. Without fail the results are always the same. Half the community thinks it's most important to LIVE life. Half the community thinks it's more crucial to LAUGH. And finally, the other half believe that there is nothing more important than LOVE. Wait, wha huh? Silly gnomes. They have never been very good at voting!
